Rough Crowd Ill Productions

Current Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Rough Crowd is an Illinois-based video showing the state’s local talent, most of whom are unknown elsewhere except for maybe Toy Machine’s Josh Harmony. There are also guest appearances from some Indiana friends and the SH crew which features Tosh Townsend and Wes Lott among others. This video is primarily street oriented with a decent amount of park footage too. The skating falls in the middle of the road between big handrail/stair skating and ledge/flat ground.

When I first popped Rough Crowd into my VCR I was expecting a sloppy video thrown together by a bunch of nerds with mediocre skills... I was definitely proven wrong. The editing is smooth, the filming is good and most importantly, the skating is excellent. This video keeps you entertained, regardless if you don't know the skaters. Even better is the fact that the spots featured in Rough Crowd are new and haven't been seen in 9 million magazines and videos already. The Hoosiers section is awesome and shows that Indiana may actually be worth going to because the skaters are total rippers. The makers of this video did a good job in bringing all the right elements together to make it entertaining. If you see Rough Crowd in a shop, don't hesitate to pick it up.
