Shitheads Vol. 8 2001, 33 minutes Current Rating: 5 out of 5 stars If skate videos were reality television, Shitheads Vol. 8 would be Tiltmode: Minnesota. The video has a general goofy vibe, but still has enough serious tech tricks to keep even the most picky skate rat interested. The skaters featured range from guys you’ve never heard of to a few guys you might have heard of (unless you’re from Minnesota). The soundtrack is one of the more eclectic ones out there. March 26, 2004 This video is great. What I’ve been looking for lately in videos is skaters and spots I’m not familiar with and Shitheads has plenty of both. It’s got tricks that will make your jaw drop and tricks that will crack you up. Some of the more original spots include The Ghettoplex (the world’s smallest skatepark), the world’s smallest drainage ditch (with water still in it), a living room coffee table, and a tree branch in a parking lot. Ricky Oyola and Steve Olson have a few tricks in the beginning and they’re always fun to watch. But my favorite skater has to be Andy Paulsen, with tricks like a switch frontside bigspin to melon and a nollie frontside melon to fakie. If the creative spots and tricks aren’t enough, with a soundtrack including Milli Vanilli, Rappin’ Rodney Dangerfield, and Tom Jones, you know you have a winner. Egg
