L.A. County Lost Dog Films
2000, 38 minutes
Current Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
The entire L.A. County video consists of technical street skating and showcases some of L.A.'s premier spots. The format follows a fairly standard formula for skateboarding videos with the featured skaters having 2 to 5 minute parts. In between these parts are montages packed full of skaters doing just one or two tricks. Those that want to watch burly tricks down massive drops and giant handrails will be dissappointed. But those that want to see technical skills perfomed on a variety of street terrain will be super pleased.

This video contains some of the best technical skating I've seen in a while. Jesus and Alfonso Fernandez, the brothers from Spain, are simply amazing. Jesus does a kickflip noseslide on the Wilshire gap-to-ledge and Alfonso kickflip b/s 5-0's it. Enrique Lorenzo seemed too comfortable on his board because every trick in his part was flawless (regular OR switch). The montages had great skating and the rare footage of Guy Mariano and Justin Pierce of "Kids" fame was nice too see, even if they only had one or two tricks each. The only thing that annoyed me throughout this video is that at times the filmer held the camera tilted, making the shot slanted. Still, this didn't occur too often, so wasn't really a big factor in my overall enjoyment.
