There are so many goddamn Transworld videos that we had to make a link for em.
4 Wheel Drive Transworld
1996, 30 minutes
Current Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
For some subcultures, 4 Wheel Drive may be a video to file next to Bass Masters III and Whitetails A-Plenty. In actuality, Transworld’s third video presents no more than a healthy mix of both street and vert skating. There are several featured skaters, including street killers Kris Markovich and Andrew Reynolds as well as vert dogs Rune Glifberg and Max Schaaf. The music is an eclectic mix ranging from Archers of Loaf to Supernova.

4 Wheel Drive is among the first few videos released by TWS, which gives it more of a raw feel than their recent videos. This is a good thing, because the video doesn't seem quite as formulaic as Transworld vids can get. Case in point: Jeremy Wray finishes off the video with a sketchy kickflip off a curb at the end of a line. It seems like a lot of fun was had while making 4 Wheel Drive, but the skating is still darn impressive. Rowley heelflip cabs 10 and kickflips 6 flat 6. Berra ollies up and off a picnic table to grind a high flatbar 50-50. Marc Johnson 360 flips to lipslide and nollie front boards on handrails. The music selection is also super sweet with none of the cheesy electronica and wannabe gangster (c)rap that I resent. Jerry Fowler's circus style music fits his part so perfectly it's hilarious and Berra's song is simply infectious. Transworld staff: re-release this video!
