Modus Operandi
Transworld
2000, 34 minutes
Current Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Modus Operandi, which is Latin for "mode of operation," is Transworld's 10th video. The soundtrack is mostly techno and hip-hop and the skating is predominantly street, save a few minutes of vert here and there. The video is about a half-hour long and features recognizable faces like Mike Carroll, Marc Johnson and Brian Anderson.

With a line up as talented and diverse as this, as well Transworld’s reputation for producing quality videos, Modus Operandi, not surprisingly, is a video well worth watching. Marc Johnson’s part is both creative and stylish, incorporating smooth skating with very original lines and trick selection. Chany shows off his diverse skills (vert, street, rails etc.), but his Expedition team members seem to dominate his part. To me, this was due to Chany's lack of footage; although it was quality, half of the slow mo'ed bangers featured his fellow team riders rather than him. Carroll's part follows. His lines are priceless, performed with such ease and style, and provide the best part in the video hands down. The music blends with the parts and the commentary during the skating is an interesting accompaniment to the overall feel to the individual parts. The bottom line: this video rocks.
