The Sixth Sense
Transworld
1998, 36 minutes
Current Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

We’ll let you guess what number video Transworld’s Sixth Sense is, but we’ll tell you that there’s the usual clean editing, featured skaters, and a variety of music. Skaters include Kenny Anderson, Josh Kalis, Mike Crum, Frank Hirata, and Brian Anderson. But there’s also added friends footy from Stevie Williams, Chad Vogt, and Brad Staba. As expected, each skater mainly skates spots around and within their particular locale, nothing too out of the ordinary. In usual TWS form, there’s a valid vert section and some mandatory montages.

You just cannot go wrong with such a list of amazing skateboarders. True, it may bear more favor to the street skater, but there’s plenty of other interesting shit in this video to keep it moving. Kenny Anderson leads the video with his rookie pro part and if you know a thing or two about Kenny, you’ll know he has clean and flowing style. Mike Crum floats and carouses the vert ramp, but not much can catch your eye if you’re the fly-by-night street skateboarder. Nonetheless, his grace is unparalleled. It seems that Brian Anderson and Brad Staba had rushed in their footage, because they have a relatively quick part. Kalis and Stevie make up the few that skate in the city, bringing a raw feel to the video. Overall, the video had a plethora of good shit and there’s nothing more left to be said but watch it.
