Current Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Transmission 7, Transworld’s 7th video, comes to you entirely in montage format, which is broken down by location. Expect to see both well and lesser known skaters ride their home turf, including New York City, San Diego, Portland, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and much more. Not unlike the featured skate spots, the music is all over the place, from Helmet to Black Eyed Peas to Autechre.

Transmission 7 seems like one big friends section, which really isn’t my thing. I like it when skater, not location, breaks down videos. It just seems that the lack of skaters' parts makes the video appear without any real personality. Sure, there is some excellent skating in the video by many amazing skaters, but I can only take so much of a 40-minute montage. On the plus side, there's lots of spots in here that aren't completely played out, and unlike many regular videos, there's a large variety of locations. However, this video is maybe worth watching a few times, but not something that will get you excited to skate. Overall, If you're all about the chaos section in 411 or the friends section in most skate videos, you will love this, but for me it's just "ehh."
